For the Educators, The Advocates, and the Ones Who Stay (Even When It’s Hard)
Welcome

About This Space
This space was created because something in education has to change and waiting for the system to fix itself clearly isn’t working.
I’m an educator, a writer, and a witness to what happens when good people are pushed to their limit inside a system that demands everything and gives back very little. I’ve seen brilliant teachers walk away from the classroom not because they stopped caring, but because caring too much without support becomes unsustainable. I’ve experienced the heartbreak of fighting for students, only to be ignored by administrators. I’ve applied to jobs that required two degrees, a decade of experience, and emotional labor they’ll never list in the description only to be offered a salary that won’t cover bills and student loans.
If that sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.

For the Educators, The Advocates, and the Ones Who Stay (Even When It’s Hard)
This is more than a blog it’s a movement.
Here, we'll talk about:
-
The realities of burnout and why it's not just personal it’s systemic
-
The broken hiring practices in higher ed and K-12
-
The emotional toll of being an educator in a system that often values policy over people
-
Why parents, educators, and communities need to get back to the same side
-
The solutions we actually need, not the ones tied up in bureaucracy
I write for the educators hanging on by a thread
For the families who care but feel shut out
For the students caught in a system that’s forgotten who it’s supposed to serve.
For the leaders who want to do better but don’t know where to start.

Who I Am
(And Why I’m Still Here)
My name is Jhinelle , I’ve worked in education long enough to see the cracks widen. I hold degrees that came with six-figure debt , I’ve taught, mentored, led, and advocated and like many of you, I’ve considered walking away more than once. But I stayed, Because I believe in the work. I believe in the people doing it. And I believe that telling the truth loudly enough can change things.
Thanks for being here. When we stop pretending and start telling the truth, we can actually rebuild something worth staying for.
